Nutcracker Tea Party

Claire and I had a great time at the Nutcracker Tea Party. She enjoyed taking pictures with the ballerinas and making her crown. The highlight of her day was getting to talk to the "REAL SANTA!"

Opening Weekend

Johnny, Cory, and Courtney enjoyed a weekend in the woods. The river was very high and they couldn't make it to the stands Saturday morning.

Cameron killed a big 11pt during the afternoon hunt. They all enjoyed hanging out at the lease. I'm sure they can't wait til Thanksgiving.

Character Parade

Claire experienced her first Book Character Parade. She chose to be Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy. Very fitting I might say!

Halloween

Claire and Kennedi had a great time at their Halloween party. They played toss the pumpkin, guessing games, mummy wrap, and a baby bottle game. After all the games we all loaded on the trailer and went trick-or-treating. It was nice to have the big kids to excort the little ones. The mommies enjoyed just relaxing on the trailer. Junior High

Junior High has been quite the experience in our house. Courtney has gone from competitive dancer to cheerleader. However, junior high wouldn't be the same without the introduction to boys....daddy doesn't think too highly of all this change.

FFA 2009

At the Magnolia Local Livestock Show Cory and Weston showed goats. Cory did a great job for his first time showing goats. He placed 3rd in the sale. I think he even enjoyed it more that pigs! Wow these boys have sure grown up. It makes me sad to see them act like men. Where did my baby boy go?

Pointe Class Begins

This week Courtney began her first pointe class. She had a great time. She was so excited because the teacher chose her to be the example. The down side for mom is that she has really strong arch so she will be going through pointe shoes frequently!

Back to school

The past week has been busy. Many sleepless nights decorating the library. Alas it has been transformed into the enchanted woods, complete with a castle. I plan to post pictures shortly. I owe a great deal to my sister for all her hard work. She is an amazing artist. I also am very grateful to have a wonderful husband and son that spent many hours building the castle. How blessed I am!

Matagorda Beach

The kids and I spent a relaxing weekend at the Ivy's beach house in Matagorda.  We had a wonderful time and everyone really enjoyed playing in the sand.  Cory even saw a shark!

Time to relax!

After 7 years Johnny and I decided we needed a vacation.  We spent 4 days in Jamaica.  It is a beautiful place and we really enjoyed the time together.  It's amazing how much time you can spend together when there are no cell phones!  We hope to be able to go again next year.
